Instructor Credentials

As a graduate from Pacific University ('96), Amber Fitzsimmons, MSPT, has been a practicing physical therapist for twelve years in multiple diverse health care settings including: acute care hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient orthopedic and neurological settings and skilled nursing facilities. Amber found that there was an empty gap in the rehabilitation continuum, whereby when patients were ready to purchase new vehicle modifications or add to their existing automobiles, there was a complex and convoluted process to understand. When asked, therapists are often unclear on how to access and assist their patients in researching, evaluating, selecting and purchasing the correct automotive solutions specific to their individual needs.

Today, Amber's primary goal is to advocate and educate both consumers and allied health care practitioners in the process of procuring the correct automotive mobility solutions for a specific need. Understanding how health care professionals can play an integral role in educating and guiding their patients in the automotive mobility solution field will yield the desired outcome of freedom, independence and maximum quality of life.
